VELD TRAILS Wilderness Survival Training – Cohort 2

Following the resounding success of Cohort 1, VELD TRAILS by Averix returns with Cohort 2 — a transformative outdoor training experience designed to equip participants with essential survival competencies under real-world conditions. This immersive 2-day, 1-night program is facilitated by seasoned survival experts and tacticians, offering practical, high-impact learning in a controlled wilderness environment.

Core Training Modules

1. Wilderness Survival
Gain the ability to endure and thrive in remote environments. Learn shelter-building, firecraft, resource prioritization, and psychological resilience in survival scenarios.

2. Navigation
Master modern and traditional navigation techniques, including map and compass use, terrain interpretation, and route planning to ensure confidence and safety in unmarked environments.

3. Wilderness First Aid
Acquire life-saving skills to respond effectively to injuries and medical emergencies in the outdoors. Topics include trauma management, environmental injuries, evacuation strategies, and improvisation.

4. Sustainability & Conservation
Understand your role in protecting natural ecosystems. This module emphasizes low-impact practices, Leave No Trace principles, and fostering a conservation mindset while in the wild.

5. Situational Awareness & Counteraction
Develop critical thinking, threat detection, and decision-making skills under pressure. Learn how to assess risks, anticipate hazards, and respond effectively to dynamic situations.

  1. Backpack (45L recommended): Weather-resistant for two-day essentials
  2. Hydration System (Min. 2L): Hydration pack or reusable bottles
  3. Hiking Boots / Trail Shoes: Durable, non-slip, preferably waterproof
  4. Long-Sleeve Shirt & Pants: For sun and brush protection
  5. Fleece Jacket / Jumper: Cold weather or early morning comfort
  6. Rain Poncho / Lightweight Jacket: For rapid weather changes
  7. Cap / Wide-Brim Hat: Sun protection for field exposure
  8. Sleeping Bag: Lightweight, warmth-rated (atleast 5 degrees )
  9. Personal Medication
  10. Hygiene Items: Bathroom sandals & toiletries

  12. Torch / Headlamp: With spare batteries
  13. Emergency Whistle: Mandatory for drills and emergencies
